Reception given by Egyptian nationalist Ahmad Zaki Pasha who was commonly known as “Shaykh Al-Ourouba” (The Great Man of Arabism), at his palace in Cairo in 1926 in memory of Fouad Bey Selim, who was killed during the Syrian revolution against the mandatory power France. The attendees included a select number of literary figures and members of the Syrian Union committees. Speeches and poems were recited during the assembly.
